The other day, while packing for college, I pulled out a whole pile of clothes that I haven't worn in ages. I'm sure you all know the feeling, you love it, but you never wear it, but you just can't get rid of it. I pulled out two peplum tops. One was a lovely print, and the other I loved the colour. But when was the last time peplum was 'in'? So an idea sprang to mind, and I decided to turn them into crop tops.
This little DIY was sooo simple. I literally cut off the peplum, right along the seam, and Voila! Two new crop tops. With the red one, I won't bother to do any sewing, but the hounds-tooth one has a few darts in the front and back that I need to sew just at the ends to prevent them from unraveling. But that's all. If it doesn't have darts it's a no-sew project. So if you have any old, unworn peplum tops, dresses even, go get your scissors!!
Both Peplum tops are originally from Penneys
P.S I don't know why I decided to wear such a giant bra when shooting these two tops. I'm sure you know they're not mine, so big shout out to all those giant padded Penneys bras. You work wonders!
