The other day I watched a review of the new Benefit Roller Lash Mascara on a fellow Irish Beauty Youtubers Youtube Channel, Makeup by Saz, (watch that review here) and I thought it sounded like
an amazing product. Lightweight, holds a curl, no need for eyelash curlers (which I hate using), easier to take off than previous Benefit mascaras.. It sounded pretty great to be honest.
So the next day I popped into Tesco and picked up the latest issue of ELLE to bag my free sample of the mascara (which hasn't even been released yet). It was just €6, which, for a Benefit mascara, is amazing. Its a really handy way to test out a new product and it's a great travel size too.
So I went home and immediately tried out the mascara. What I noticed first was the shape of the brush. I'm not sure whether the wand is smaller in this tester size than the normal size, but its the exact same shape anyway. It has a really nice curve to really curl up your lashes. The formula is quite nice too, not thick and glupey like some mascaras I've previously tried, but with all the drama!! If you scroll down to the bottom of this post you'll see the results after just one coat. 5 hours later and it's still going strong, still nice and curled upwards and my lashes haven't clumped together either. Even though I'm a huge fan of bargains, I would invest in this mascara when it comes out (or perhaps I'll buy loads more issues of ELLE :P).
I'd highly recommend this if you:
-struggle to find a mascara that will hold a curl
-find your mascara kind of clumps together after a few hours
-or are looking for a mascara that has serious impact after just one coat
Great review. I usually use 'They're real' mascara but am keen to try out other options. Especially ones that don't require eye lash curlers....I would never trust myself with a set of those near my eyes :) x
