I'm such a big fan of food, but I was always brought up to eat fairly healthy. We were only allowed 2 biscuits with a cup of tea, and only after dinner. We only had desserts on a Sunday and had about 50p pocket-money to spend on sweets (which meant I only got about 2 chomps, an animal bar
and a packet of frosties). But every now and again I am so grateful that my mam was so stubborn when it came to eating junk food because I still think of it as a treat and not something I would consider eating everyday. Eating healthy has never really been too much of a struggle for me but I would tend to eat the same borng foods all the time. Living and cooking on my own last year in college though got me trying some new things. Here's what I would eat on a typical day, for anyone who's interested in trying some new healthy-ish meals.

Living and cooking on my own last year in college though got me trying some new things. Here's what I would eat on a typical day, for anyone who's interested in trying some new healthy-ish meals.
Breakfast: When I'm in college I would usually eat a bowl of porridge for breakfast, but over summer I started having smoothies instead. They're easier to eat and just as filling, but with some extra goodness. I use one banana, coconut milk, berries (fresh or frozen) and some oats. The oats make this more filling. When I'm working out I add a scoop of protein too. I added some berries and sunflower seeds on top to add a little something extra.
Lunch: This would be a typical 'at home' lunch, but when I'm in college I just bring some salad with me and buy a baked potato in our canteen. I much prefer to eat baked sweet potato though. Here I had some sweet potato, spinach leaves, tuna, sundried tomatoes and mayo.
Snack: This isn't the healthiest snack I could eat but anything with bananas is good for me. And some carbs to keep me going till dinner. I would normally have banana and peanut butter on wholemeal toast but I was out shopping this day and chose nutella and a bagel instead.
Dinner: I loooved this dinner so much I could've eaten seconds. We put together some veg (courgette, sweet potato) with some sundried tomatoes, scallions and a few other bits and added a powder curry sauce. There was a tiny bit of chicken in it but it was mostly veggie and I just adored it. Brown rice would be a healthier option too if that's what you're after. I also love a veggie pasta.
