A few months back I posted about my Skincare Routine. I think it may have even been over a year ago. So I figured I would do an updated post as a lot of the products have changed and I've also just introduced some new ones lately that I've been loving.
Hope you guys like it and let me know if you have any holy grail beauty products or recommendations :)
CLEANSE
It Works Cleanser: This is amazing for washing off makeup, waterproof mascara and when you're just looking for a deep cleanse. I use this on its own, as in no cotton pads or anything, and just massage it into my face. Then I go back in with a bit of water, massage in again, and wash off with a wet flannel/face cloth. I find face cloths a great way to get rid of dry skin too without having to use an exfoliator.
Simple Micellar Water: I use this when I don't have too much makeup on or if I'm not feeling like getting into a long 'taking off my makeup' routine. Just apply some to a cotton pad and wipe away. I've heard this is a lot less drying than some other Micellar Waters so that's cool!
TONE & MOISTURISE
Beauty Cycle Toner: I'm not sure where to even buy this product anymore but I've had it for years and years and should probably get rid of it soon :P But with toner, I apply a bit to the palms of my hands and pat onto my face. No rubbing with a cotton pad and wasting product.
Nivea Day Cream/Night Cream: Pretty self explanatory but I have used these two products for a while now and really like them. The day cream is lovely and light and goes on nicely under my makeup (it doesn't leave me looking shiny) and the night cream is lovely and thick and feels so nourishing. My skin usually feels quite nice the next morning after using this (if I remember to use it).
BODY
Cocoa Butter Formula Body Oil: This is my absolute favourite body product I have ever used. It smells so good, is so moisturising and leaves my skin with a lovely glow. Its also great for shaving with instead of a shaving gel and gives you a really nice close shave.
Garnier Gradual Tanner: This is by far the best gradual tanner I have ever used. It doesn't smell, it doesn't go blotchy or streaky, and it wears off so naturally you wouldn't even notice. I apply mine usually after my shower with a tanning mitt for a better, more even coverage.
BEAUTIFY
Simple Illumiating Cream: I have started using this before I apply my makeup for that extra glow and I am loving it. I've already had people comment on how I look 'glowing' and I haven't been doing anything else differently. If you're looking to try an illuminating cream then I would highly recommend this as it's also only €10 at Boots. I did another review of this in a previous post so I'll pop that HERE
